Cemeteries are about one of the scariest places to go in the dark, so it's no surprise the developer of Cemetry has chosen to base its halloween screensaver in one.
Cemetery screensaver features a desolate cemetery which is haunted by bats, ghouls and ghosts, lightning, skeletons, witches, and of course, zombies! The various characters in the screensaver rise from the dead at random moments and jump up to the screen to scare the wits out of you. Cemetery screensaver has been rewritten to take advantage of Apple's Quartz Composer technology so the 3D effects look pretty cool, if not that scary. Note that you can use Cemetery screensaver for free but if you register, six more creatures will rise from the dead.
There are a fair few configuration options too, including the ability to select or de-select which ghouls haunt your cemetery, toggle lightning and thunder on or off and switch off the sound effects. You can also add your own soundtrack by browsing to an audio track of your choice.
One of the better Halloween themed screensavers out there, Cemetery will entertain if not exactly scare the life out of you.
